To pay for all her singing lessons, German classes and voice teachers, Tanith Bryce has manned the counter at Harry's Cafe de Wheels. On Monday, after seven years of serving pies, she may quit, thanks to a mysterious Japanese benefactor. The 25-year-old is one of six finalists for the $30,000 Marianne Mathy Scholarship, part of the 2003 Australian Singing Competition at the Opera House.
